Definition
The object of this service is to supervise on behalf of our principals as an independent third party the loading or unloading operations with a view to determining the initial damage or preventing additional damage to the allegedly damage cargo

- The findings and results of CSBC intervention will be summarized in survey report
Typical operations performed
Depending on the requirements of the principal the operations performed may comprise
Damage survey
- 1. Investigation of the cause of the damage and of the conditions under which the damage was sustained
- 2. Investigation of the nature and extent of the damage
- 3. Investigation of the recondition process required and of estimated duration and cost of recondition
- 4. Protection of client’s interests as an independent party
Claims prevention survey
- Supervision of loading or unloading, ensuring correct quantity of material to be delivered
- Advice, in consultation with client, on the damaged cargo consumption and on the recondition to be carried out
